Western Monster Monpiece Censorship

Monster Monpiece characters
Monster Monpiece
Monster Monpiece is a Japanese card battle game designed for Playstation Vita, due for a release in North America soon. Players experience females as mythological creature hybrids. The art is looks gorgeous and it has a large fanbase already.

And of course, what makes this game so very Japanese is the amount of fanservice, to the point of being classified as ecchi. This is why:

These are just few of many images found throughout the game. This definitely caters for a particular audience, not E for Everyone!

There has been a lot of opinions about the censorship about this and I am one of those few who agree with the censorship decision, if it concerns characters that resemble children.

There is a problem in the world with pedophiles and by allowing younger looking characters to be shown in such a manner, it allows for entertainment for pedophiles. I am not okay with that since a player has to rub the image to remove clothing.

The laws of North America & Japan are quite different, in the end. I am not sure how they react to pedophiles but the western world seems to react in the opposite manner.

Many have been saying that some characters do not fit into the category and it may be due to the positioning or if the character is completely nude. There is a list of cards that will censored available here and people can create their own opinion based on it.

One way of solving this issue to a degree would be to lessen the amount of fanservice. This way the artists don't need to draw ecchi images of young children and the game can retain its wholesome effect.

Other than about 40 images, all other aspects of the game is retained.
